The title of this post is a nod to folksinger Arlo Guthrie’s track “Which Side” from his sublime 1979 album Outlasting the Blues, which was released two years after his conversion to Catholicism.
I recently posted two images with the same title as this current post on my BlueSky account that each listed 10 qualities, divided into “spiritually regressive” and “spiritually progressive” categories. This current post is a combined and expanded version of those BlueSky posts.
Please note that I was aiming for a modicum of humor when including the “Doesn’t Use Turn Signals,” “Dislikes PBS,” and “Cheats at Golf” listings, in order not to sound preachy or priggish. But there is an element of truth to these same items, notwithstanding.
